More and more people now want to work from home, and with the more abundant availability of broadband technologies it is essential that workers can work 'as if in the office'. With the flexibility of wireless and the speed of broadband the Home Office becomes exactly that, our engineers can implement such technologies in your home.

Combining both hardware and software solutions, Experisys IT can help provide a fast, secure connection between your home and office allowing access to email and data as if you were sitting at your desk. Whether you are sitting in your study, out in the garden or even in the airport, simply connecting your laptop or computer to a broadband connection and using technologies such as VPN and Remote Desktop Protocol means that access to your office PC or server couldn't be easier. At Experisys IT, we can also use these very same technologies for providing remote support to your home and office computers.

FACTOID

Telecommuting (working from home) is a work arrangement in which employees do not commute or travel by bus or car to a central place of work, such as an office building, warehouse or store. Teleworkers in the 2000s often use mobile telecommunications technology such as Wi-Fi-equipped laptop or tablet computers and smartphones to work from coffee shops; others may use a desktop computer and a landline phone at their home. According to a Reuters poll, approximately "one in five workers around the globe, particularly employees in the Middle East, Latin America and Asia, telecommute frequently and nearly 10 percent work from home every day."

As of 2012, estimates suggest that over fifty million U.S. workers (about 40% of the working population) could work from home at least part of the time, but in 2008 only 2.5 million employees, excluding the self-employed, considered their home to be their primary place of business
